The connection was successfull. I can view an empty report but failed when i have data in it. Please help.

 Hi,

Don't you have javascript error "bobj is undefined" when you try to view your report ?

Can you send us a link to try to view ?

Have you seen this post => http://www.aricie.com/Default.aspx?tabid=83&forumid=4&threadid=342&scope=posts&language=fr-FR ?

Yes. I have seen it before I post this. The virtual directory script has "Scripts only" executions permission already. I don't have the javascript error as I already have aspnet_client directory located in C:\inetpub\wwwroot.

I'm afraid that I cannot provide the link for security issue. Is there any way to fix it?

Thank you.

Sometimes, there is an issue when crystal report file was build and view with 2 versions of Crystal Report 2008 (minor changes between them)

Can you try to :

  • open your Report in your DNN server
  • save it
  • reload it on DNN Aricie.CrystalReportViewer module
  • view it

If it doesn't work, can you send me a link of your website at mtarnot@aricie.fr ?

We don't see any common errors.

Can you give me an user account access to edit CrystalReport Module ?

Also, can you send me one of your report (with sql script) ? We 'll try it on our local environment.

 Hi,

I've emailed you my test crystal report.

As soon as possible, we'll create Crystal reports samples and make available online.

Please, test it and tell me if the issue persist.

Thanks

 Hi,

Yes, I've already seen that.

Often, this problem happens when there is an installation or configuration issue with Crystal Report 2008.

Can you try to :

  • Reinstall Crystal Report 2008 (What version do you have ? trial version ?)
  • In your server, go to IIS Manager
  • Expand your WebSite
  • Check you have aspnet_client folder
    if not, create aspnet_client virtual directory ( C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\ )
  • Expand aspnet_client folder
  • Expand system_web
  • Expand your Framework .NET version folder (2_0_50727)
  • Check you have crystalreportviewers12 folder
    if not, create crystalreportviewers12 virtual directory ( C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\4.0\crystalreportviewers12\ )

Use virtual directories instead of copy folders.
