Hi,

Our module ModuleWorflow allow you to define which roles can create new version for existing content and which roles can approve those new versions. A role can also have the 2 permissions : submit and approve. Administrators and pages editors can bypass worflow by editing page directly.

For using Page Workflow, you have to:

  • define which roles are allowed by default to Submit and/or Approve in settings of ModuleWorflow,
  • add skin object for Page Workflow in your current skin (PAGEWORKFLOW - DesktopModules/Aricie.ModuleWorkflows/PageWorkFlow.ascx),
  • then define on existing pages, which roles are allowed to submit and/or approve. Those roles doesn't need Edit permissions if you want to force workflow.

In DNN 5.x, don't forget to set which modules can be added to pages by desired roles by using menu Site -Extensions.

Have you made a draft from existing content or a translation ? Have you enabled fallback ?

Relative to modules permissions, it's core feature of DotNetNuke. Go to Admin - Extensions, then edit Module and choose which roles are allowed to deploy module on page.

Fall back is on.  If i enable content staging this is the error that I get only on a wrapped HTML, only if the Publish check mark is not checked.

Error: Edit Content is currently unavailable.

if i reject a pending it disappears as if the module wasnt there. but if i goto the page in the workflow admin module / moderate pages tab and then  click the magnify icon i can see the module.

also it doesnt show in the moderate contents tab any pages with pending content, it says no content to moderate unless you click on the magnify icon

Hi,
we conducted tests with DotNetNuke version 5.4.1 and we were able to reproduce errors. This is probably due to recent changes in DNN including those impacting module Tewt/HTML like workflow integration and versionning.
We're working on now to give you a solution.

Thanks for your support.
